Team Sask was on the short end of a 91 - 77 score vs Nova Scotia in Men’s Basketball. Our guys started strong and capitalized on Nova Scotia’s inability to convert 3 point shoots. Saskatchewan’s excellent ball movement, allowed them to jump out to a 20 to 13 1st quarter lead. Team Sask’s momentum continued through the early part of the 2nd quarter but the Nova Scotians started to turn the tide late in the 2nd frame. A Team Sask lead that had been as large as 16 points was reduced to 9 at halftime, 46 to 35 for Team Sask.
Nova Scotia came out flying in the 3rd quarter and thanks to an 18 point scoring run managed to build a 70 to 55 3rd quarter lead.
Team Sask rallied late but Nova Scotia managed to hold on to the lead. Team Sask was lead by Joe De Ciman with 17 points and 7 boards, Matt Campbell chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Jon Harding tossed in 12.
